Video Production
To celebrate Major League Soccer’s 25th Season and pay homage to the great players in the league’s history, the digital content team created “The 25 Greatest” program, which was ultimately sponsored by AT&T.
In addition to managing AT&T’s ownership of the platform, my primary responsibility was executive producer of all video content for the program. This included selecting an outside production house, directing them in the storytelling through the highlights, approving all edits, working with our internal video team to source raw footage and determine which highlights to utilize for each player, and collaborating with our design team on the best way to transform static illustrations into motion designs and incorporate them into each video.
In total we created 111 video assets, including one for each player and multiple compilations of different run times to fit different platforms. We optimized the videos for social and video channels by creating each one in two different sizes, as well as versions with english and Spanish graphics to best serve MLS fans.

This was a true team effort, requiring immense collaboration between the editorial, social, video, design and UX groups, as well as the communications and media teams to promote the program as widely as possible.
Our UX, design and editorial groups created the logo, color schemes and animations that served as the foundation for the program. They also researched and created the guidelines for selecting the 25 players, and determined the statistics, achievements and honors to include in the supporting content.
Social Media
Our social team played the key role in a coordinated and robust release of the “25 Greatest pres. by AT&T.”
The release plan included posting each individual player’s achievements and videos, as well as presenting the players grouped by position to give a comprehensive view of the players selected. The social and comms teams also worked to provide assets to the players chosen and the clubs they represented so everyone in the MLS ecosystem was promoting and discussing “The 25 Greatest” the day it launched.
