Edgar Davids & Waka Flocka explore Atlanta
To promote ticket sales for the 2018 MLS All-Star game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, our brand marketing team worked with the opponent, Juventus, to have their team ambassador and former star Edgar Davids spend a day exploring Atlanta with local rapper and Atlanta United fan Waka Flocka Flame.
My team and I collaborated with the marketing team to develop the content plan and outline the run of show for the day in Atlanta. We were also responsible for capturing all video and photo from the experience, a next-day turnaround of content for MLS, Juventus and the influencer’s channels, and providing raw assets to local and national media.
Ultimately the All-Star game set a new attendance record with 72, 317 fans, and ended in a 1-1 draw, with Juventus winning 5-3 in a shootout.
